This Cookie Policy explains how ColorSkein LLC (“ColorSkein,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on colorskein.com (the “Site”). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle your information.
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device to store information — for example, whether you've visited before. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, and browser storage such as localStorage, which stores data in your browser rather than sending it back to a server with each request.

ColorSkein is a static website, and we do not set any cookies of our own that are required for the Site to function. This is not a cookie, it never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site — for example, which pages are viewed, whether visitors return, whether they arrive from Instagram or Facebook, and whether they're on desktop or mobile. This helps us decide what to improve. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device.
We implement Google Consent Mode, which means analytics cookies default to denied and no analytics data is stored until you give consent through our cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics does not set cookies.
ColorSkein earns commissions through affiliate links. When you click one, you are redirected through an affiliate network — CJ Affiliate, Awin, or Impact — on its way to the merchant. That network, and sometimes the merchant, sets a cookie on its own domain so that if you buy something, the sale is credited to us. The first time you visit, our cookie banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Nothing beyond your consent preference is stored unless you accept. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the Site works either way — you simply won't be counted in our analytics.
You can change your mind at any time. Click the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and update your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection; it does not retroactively delete data already collected, though you may request deletion under our Privacy Policy.
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out and do not enable non-essential cookies. Where required by law, we honor this signal automatically.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies from third parties will also prevent affiliate networks from crediting purchases to us — that costs us commission but does not change your price, and the Site will still work. Because there is no consistent industry standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, the Site does not respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control, as described above.
When you leave ColorSkein by clicking an affiliate link or any other outbound link, you are subject to the cookie and privacy practices of that website. We do not control them. We encourage you to review the cookie policy of any site you visit.
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or the technologies we use change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
